Fire Fighters Local 311 Memorial

Respect. Honor. Remember.

This memorial will serve to pay respect, honor and remembrance to members of Fire Fighters Local 311 and members of the City of Madison Fire Department who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and for the families who continue to mourn and cherish their memory.

To Respect.

Located at Madison Fire Department Station 14 on the City’s Southeast side, the memorial will be a place for our members, our families and our community to pay respects to those who have died in the line of duty. The beautiful and thoughtful design was developed by Local 311’s Memorial Committee working with Pechmann Memorials from Madison, Wisconsin.

To honor.

This statue will be the centerpiece of the memorial and will be mounted on a stone platform engraved with the names of the Local 311 members who have died in the line of duty. The statue will be located in the center of a Maltese Cross formed by bricks engraved with the names of our friends and family who choose to generously support the vision of this memorial.

To Remember.

When complete, this memorial will be a remarkable monument to the lives of our members who have died serving their community. It will provide a space large enough for gatherings, where we can collectively honor our fallen, but will also provide a quiet, contemplative place of reflection for visitors of all ages.
